Drew Blythe Barrymore, born February 22, 1975, is an American actress. She is the recipient of numerous honors including a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award, as and five Emmy Award nominations and a BAFTA nomination. She belongs to the Barrymore actor family and the granddaughter of John Barrymore. Barrymore became a famous child actor through her performance in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. After a very publicized childhood characterized by drug and alcohol addiction, she wrote an autobiography Little Girl Lost. In the 1990s she was a part of a number of films like Poison, Boys on the Side and Mad Love. Barrymore had a role with Adam Sandler in a few films, such as The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates.
