Miley Ray Cyrus born Destiny Hope Cyrus on 23 November 1992 is an American performer, songwriter, and actress. Noted for her distinctive raspy voice, her music is a blend of elements of a variety of genres and styles, such as pop, country pop hip hop, experimental and rock. With a total of thirteen songs, Cyrus is the female artist to have had the highest number of US Billboard 200 Top-five Albums in the 21st Century. The public image, her personal life image, and performances often caused controversy and garnered a lot of media attention. Cyrus was the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus and became an teen idol after she was cast in the title character in the Disney Channel television show Hannah Montana (2006)-2011. Hannah Montana was a US Billboard 200 number-one, three-times top-five soundtrack artist, and the US Billboard Hot 100's Top Ten single, "He Could Be The One". Cyrus's discography comprises Meet Miley Cyrus (2007) and Breakout (2008); and Bangerz (2013). She also has top five albums Can't be Tamed (2010) and Younger Now (2017). Miley Cyrus and her Dead Petz (2015) is her debut album that is free. The EPs The Time of Our Lives (2009) and She is Coming (2019), also made it to the top five. Plastic Hearts was Cyrus's most popular album and it debuted on the top of the Billboard Rock Chart. It also featured the leading single "Midnight Sky". She also released singles like "See You Again", 7 Things", "The Climb" The Climb", "Party in the U.S.A." and "Party in The U.S.A.". "Party in the U.S.A." was certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Cyrus's career achievements include entry in the Time 100 list in 2008 and 2014, the MTV Best Artist of 2013 Award, and placement on the Billboard's Greatest of All Time Artists Chart in the year 2019. She is often regarded as one of the few examples of successful child actors-turned-singers. Cyrus was an actor and was featured in Bolt (2008), Hannah Montana: The Movie (2010) and The Last Song (2010). Cyrus was an instructor on The Voice for two seasons and starred in "Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too", a Netflix episode of Black Mirror (2019). Cyrus is an ardent advocate for the rights of animals. She embraced a vegan diet in the year 2014. In 2014, she founded the Happy Hippie Foundation which focuses on homeless youth and the LGBT community.
