 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American actor, comedian and activist Her parents were Jewish parents in the Soviet Union and started her career as a child actress when she relocated to the United States. She is best known for her appearances on AT&T commercials on television. In these commercials, Lily Adams (2013 to 2016) and in 2020 (since 2020). She also was a regular series regular on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015). Also, she was regular on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016–2017). Vayntrub was also cast as Squirrelgirl on Marvel Rising in 2018 following her role in the pilot series New Warriors. Vayntrub is a Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic (USSR) native and is a Jew. At the age of two she left with her parents to the U.S. to escape antisemitism. She moved to West Hollywood. When she was five, she began appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials. This was in part due to the difficulties in the family's finances. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. She quit her sophomore year and obtained an GED. Then, she went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from University of California San Diego. Through the Upright Citizens Brigade she studied improv comedy.
